Joan
was born in New York City, on Easter Sunday, March 21st on the
first day of Spring. Her family moved to Miami, Florida when she
was twelve, where she spent most of her school years. Joan
believes in second chances. So, after raising three
husbands and two children, she decided to pursue her life long
dream of being an actress. She
has worked professionally in Miami, New York and
Los Angeles on television, radio, theatre and film, and has
performed with several improv troupes. She was a judge on "The
Practice", head of NASA in "Apollo Mission" a paleontologist in
"Dinosaur Valley Girls" and a meddling mother-in-law on
"Hollywood Safari". She is a member of the Academy of
Television Arts and Sciences, Women in Theatre, SAG and AFTRA.
She is an active volunteer reading to children at the public
library and at local elementary schools, as well as with SAG
Book Pals. She enjoys playing tennis, traveling and
spending time with her family, which includes her two children and
eight grand children.
