MISSION
Oprah's Angel Network is dedicated to inspiring people
to make a difference in the lives of others. We seek
to support and fund organizations and individuals
dedicated to assisting people with basic human needs,
regaining dignity, and with educational initiatives.
Oprah's Angel Network began an international campaign
in 2003 to assist small organizations focused on
poverty reduction in developing countries. Since it
began in 2000, Oprah's Angel Network has given 50 Use
Your Life Awards, built over 200 homes through Habitat
for Humanity, and awarded over 100 scholarships, two
within each state in the U.S., through The Boys and
Girls Club of America. We awarded over $290,000 to
Kids Can Free The Children to build, equip, and
sustain 34 schools in eight different countries.

The Adopt-a-Dolphin program is part of
The Dolphin Project’s education initiative. An overview of the scientific
work The Dolphin Project conducts can be found on our web site, in
material that you will receive with your Adopt-a-Dolphin packet and
in newsletters you will receive as part of your Adopt-a-Dolphin packet.
The Dolphin Project does not physically capture, tag, rehabilitate
or interact with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus).
Members conduct relative abundance surveys and seek to identify dolphins
through their often distinctive dorsal fins. By means of identifying
individual dolphins The Dolphin Project as well as other cooperating
government agencies and private researchers collaborate to study resident
and transient populations. The dolphins that we study are wild and
in their natural habitat, hence they are free to roam at will with
no prediction as to where we will spot them next.

MISSION
The Christopher Reeve Foundation (CRF) is committed to
finding treatments and cures for paralysis caused by
spinal cord injury and other neurological disorders,
and improving the quality of life for people living
with disabilities. CRF's roots stretch back to 1982
when the American Paralysis Association was formed.
The founders of the American Paralysis Association had
an unwavering belief that researchers and
neuroscientists, working together, would find a way to
connect and regenerate the damaged nerves and cells
that result in paralysis. Today, our belief in a cure
is shared by the neuroscientists, researchers,
clinicians and, perhaps most importantly, thousands of
people living with spinal cord injuries and their families.
